Interested in a position on the Board of Directors?
The nine member Board of Directors currently meets on the third Wednesday every other month. Meetings are held at the Shelter, usually start at 6:00 pm. and last approximately two hours. General functions of the board include: developing policies and procedures, securing adequate funds, and monitoring the finances, programs and performance of the organization.
Interested candidates must become members of the ECCHA and be able to attend scheduled board and committee meetings. Board members should have a genuine commitment to the ECCHA and its mission, a willingness to educate themselves about issues, and a desire to actively participate in organizational decision making, fundraising events, and educational programs.
A commitment to the Board of Directors should be taken seriously. We all work together to make ECCHA run smoothly, and are very serious about our work.

If there is no current opening, we will save it until the next board opening. Board of Director applications must be approved by the board and applicants voted in by the membership at the annual meeting. (except to fill unexpected openings on the board mid-term)
