"Happy Homes"

Here are a couple of pictures of our little girl we just picked up yesterday (Feb 9th, 2007). Her name was Rosie. Now it is Miss Ava Rose. She has already made herself at home and seems to be very happy and relaxed (as you can see!). I will send you more pictures when she has been here awhile. Thank you for taking good care of her while she was with you.

We adopted Chandler in April 2006 when he was just five months old. After a few months we thought he needed a friend. So in November 2006 we adopted Monica . She was just six weeks old. He didn't quite know what to think of her right away. I think he wondered why we'd bring such a small little rodent into our house for him to chase. Over the last few months, they have grown to become good friends. They are both so much fun and have brought such joy to our home. We're very happy to have them.

This a sad time for us and also a time for us to share a very happy story with you all. Last night our little friend "Holly" had to leave us. We adopted her from the shelter 13 yrs ago and at the age of 15 with medical problems, too many for her to handle we said good-bye. The wonderful vet at Eau Claire Animal Hospital "Dr. Mather" came in after hours to help us through this rough time.

Though this story is sad to hear, it should also make you happy to know this little one had a wonderful home filled with much love.

My wish for the new year is that every friend without a home will find one as wonderful as we know we gave to our little Holly.

Thankyou for this wonderful gift of love,
Laura and Don G.

Last June we adopted "Bear" who is now Koda. He is an absolute delight. He has brought such happiness into our lives, after our Best Friend of 10 year died in April of Kidney failure. Koda has taken away the sadness, and has made us happy again. He is such a good boy, our kids love to play with him, it is so much fun to watch them together. Thank you eccha for taking good care of Koda while he was with you, waiting for us to find him.

Just wanted to update you on my adoption last week of ‘Emilee’ who has since been renamed. Her name is now “SHEBA” and she has learned to respond to it already! She taught us some things she already knew - come, sit, go in, go out, and it was great to find out she was housebroken! Sheba does NOT jump on furniture, and will only come up if invited! We invited her onto the bed the first night, and she has slept with us every night since!

She will lay on any of the throw rugs in the rooms when she wants to nap, and when she wants to play, will bring a toy over and drop it in your lap, or if I’m on the computer, she actually will nudge me!
She absolutely loves the grandkids and does not jump on people. She is absolutely WONDERFUL!! Thanks again!!!!!!

I adopted Hugo at the end of July. He is doing good. He was a handful at first but after he destroyed my house he settled down!!! He is a great dog. So loving. He actually gives hugs to people.
