"Happy Homes"

I hope you get this. I thought this was a cute picture of Daisy with me and my baby. Sorry it is so small, my husband took it with our phone camera. I will try to get more pictures of Daisy, but she is a hard one to have sit still.

I am just wanted to say thank you for letting us adopt Pishi and William, they are doing great. You would never be able to tell that William was sick, he bounced back 100% and he is eating like a pig. Thank you so much.

Dear ECCHA,

Here are some pictures of Zach. We adopted him in February of 2004.

He is such a good dog, happy, playful, and so smart. We can't believe how much he has become a part of our home. He loves going for his daily walk and really loves going 4 wheeling up north at my
in-laws.

We are so glad that he was given a second chance. He definitely deserved it.

Thanks again.

Doug and Christine O.

 Hello All,
My fiancé' Troy and I visited the shelter on Tuesday the 15th of August, There were so many beautiful animals. We were looking for a playmate for my dog "Evl" (husky/lab) His name sounds tough-but trust me he's the furthest thing from it.

I had my heart set on a little girl her name was Vivian, a beautiful lab mix. So pretty and so well behaved, She would have made a good "wife" for Evl. But I already had my puppy, It was my fiancée’s turn. He wanted nothing to do with animals till he met my dog - now he was hooked! So I figured it was his turn to pick out "his" puppy. We did some research on your web-site earlier in the day and noticed a Golden Retriever named "Chester" (Troy had always wanted a golden) ,but when we came to visit we didn't see him.
I was busy playing with Vivian when my fiancée' came outside and said "let's go-they found him and their bringing him to the other side". I begrudgingly brought her back to her cage, so sweet she was. As I came back outside I turned the corner at the exact same time as my Fiancé and there he was – Chester. Well it was all over. We played and talked and Chester was one of the most loving pups I'd met in years. Imagine someone gave up a purebred golden retriever that obviously had training and adored people. We applied for adoption right there and then. But we needed to how Evl would react to a new brother-so we brought him out the next day and sure enough - they started to play almost immediately. I'm sure whoever had him had a very good reason for parting with him but for whatever reason we are extremely grateful. Chester and Evl do everything together, play-eat-sleep and go for rides with daddy.
What a wonderful addition to our home - thank you all so much.
Sincerely
Kelly M and Troy B

Hello,
Just thought I would take a minute and drop you a line and a few pictures. I adapted Tiny (Known to most as Garth during his time with you) back in early Spring/late Winter of this year. He is pure Rottie and I must admit I had never owned a dog of his size before and was a little apprehensive at first, but soon found I had a major snuggle bug on my hands. It didn't take long and his timid aloofness gave way to the real dog just waiting to please any person willing to give him even the smallest amount of attention

.

His previous training was very evident as he never offers to jump up on anyone, steers clear of climbing on any furniture, and knows all of his voice commands including sit, lay, and stay. We have since added a few like shake and heel, but I surely couldn't have hoped for anything more from a stray dog. He is completely house trained and will even wake me
up in the middle of the night if he really needs to go out.
A guard dog he is not! He has only barked twice since I got him, both
times at a passing siren. He is so gentle that when he came across a
baby fawn in a road ditch near our house he licked and cleaned it from
end to end. Most of the neighborhood kids refer to him as "Carl" from the series of children's books and his prior history with a family is very evident by his playful demeanor and kisses to the face of any little person he encounters. When playtime in my large front yard is over he will often times try to follow the kids home and has even tried to get into my sister's minivan so that the he didn't have to leave his little play partners.

I just wanted to thank you for offering a great service to the
community and for finding me my new best friend!

My husband and I adpoted Blazer a month ago in June.  Since then, things have been wonderful!  I just wanted to send an update letting you know that he is much loved (and spoiled) very much.  Our other dog, a Chocolate Lab named Sandie, is also very happy that she has a new playmate!  They have been getting along so well.  Blazer has a very laid back personality and loves to cuddle, but can be very spunky and also loves to play and  go for walks.  He has been the perfect addition to our family.  Here are some pictures, one of Blazer getting comfortable in the recliner and one of Sandie and Blazer playing together. Thank you to everyone who made this adoption possible!  We couldn't be happier! Thank you again! Andrea and Matt W. (Sandie and Blazer too!)

Thank you so much for giving us such a great dog! We love Baylor very much. He is making himself right at home with us and our other dog Ally. The two of them play all the time and really seem to enjoy each others company. I think it is safe to say that Baylor is very happy with us. He gets walked and played with all the time. We give him lots
of attention and love. He likes to go for rides and he loves the
water. We have a fenced in yard and loves to be outside and run
around. At night he sleeps right on the side of our bed. He is very
good with children and other dogs. Thank you very much Eau Claire County Humane Society for taking such good care of him while he was there. Maybe we will bring him by
sometime.
Regards,

Matthew & Christina D
