"Happy Homes"

This is Sampson (Sporty).

Luke and Ginny

This is Harvey at 8 months old.

Georgette

This is Caesar, formerly a dog of the month, at the lake near Mercer on a visit in 2004.

He is doing fine and has lost 5 pounds due to daily walks.  Everyone says he is such a cute dog.  I'd have to agree.

My name is Maynard (formerly Mukow) and I just wanted to let you know how happy I am in my new home.  As you can see, I have my own barstool (used to be a plant stand) to lounge on and look out the windows at the birds (we have a lot of them out here in the country.)  I have a sister, Weasel, who is a 5 year old cat and a brother, Cody, a beagle who is also 5 and came here from ECCHA in 2001.  Mom and dad say he’s spoiled rotten, but that must be a good thing cause he has a shoebox full of toys and I think he owns the couch in the living room because he doesn’t let anyone else sit on it, even mom and dad.  I have a couple of toys too, but I really don’t need them because I play with the computer keyboard (that delete key sure works fast!), turn the knob on the clock radio so the volume goes up, watch the paper come out of the printer and do lots of other fun things.  Mom and dad say they got more than they bargained for when they picked me….that’s a good thing, isn’t it?   When they chose to adopt  me out it was during my afternoon nap time when I’m really quiet so I fooled them…they didn’t know how much energy I have and how fast I can run all over the house.  Mom and dad say NO a lot and I’m learning about staying off places where I’m not supposed to be.  I’m getting along really well with both Weasel and Cody.  Cody doesn’t even get mad at me when I play with his tail and Weasel has started to play with me.  I really like it here.  Thanks for taking care of me when I was at ECCHA.

(Maynard really is a neat cat and is getting along great with our other two "kids."  Thanks again.    Rollie & Kathy

I love my new home and they love me.

Thank you,

Dear ECCHA:

Here are a couple of pictures of Nellie (formerly known as Willow). It took only a couple of days to learn her new name.  She is very smart and affectionate.

She seems to have made herself right at home and is very comfortable with us .  We love her dearly.  She gets along well with her older brother,  Buck.

She enjoys running with me every morning before I go to work and then has one or two other outing during the day.  She also enjoys her morning naps up on our bed.

She loves to go to bed at night.  She starts out by running into her kennel (I leave the door opened wide all the time and she loves it in there), but then ends up on her blanket beside the bed.

She especially enjoys all there is to look at in the woods and watches for the deer to come into the yard.

We are very fortunate to have her with us.

To Everyone at the ECCHA:

I am writing to update you on "Fiona" the beagle mix that we adopted in October of 2004.  We brought her back home to Shakopee, Minnesota after a quick stop for a new bed.  Once home she met the rest of the family: Eric - 10, Megan - 10, and Becca - 7.  Everyone fell in love with her instantly.

We renamed her Amber and within a week she was coming when called by her new name.  She takes turns sleeping with different family members each night.  She loves to play tug-of-war and gives endless kisses.

She loves her new back yard and has enjoyed meeting the neighbors dogs.  Our whole family enjoys her company and we are glad to find such a wonderful new family dog.

Thank you for caring for her prior to her coming home with us.  She was definitely worth the drive to find her.

Linda, Tom, Eric, Megan, and Becca
