"Happy Homes"

We have changed Caesar a German Shepherd dog's name to Sarge.  When he got home, he sniffed every inch of the house.  He has adjusted well to the other dogs and loves to ride in the car with the windows open.  He jumps in the car every time we get in.  We have taught him to sit, shake, stay, come, and lie down.  He will also fetch a toy and bring it back.  I like this because he helps me practice softball. Mom has taught him to play tug of war.

Sarge is a very smart dog and gets a lot of attention from the four of us and any visitors.  He is a very spoiled dog, too.  He loves to cuddle on the couch, but he does get hair everywhere.  He loves to be in the house with us.

We are pleased to report that Aspen our 92 pound Great Pyrennes is adjusting quickly to her new home.  In fact, as you can see from the photo, she is quit comfortable in her new surroundings.

She had a few days of investigating our things and at times thought it was fun to move our possessions to a new location.  She loves being the center of attention and looks forward to our arrival home and her daily walks.  She has 2 brothers, Cooper who is a West Highland Terrier and Lucky who is a 12 year old black cat.  They have all become great friends and spend much of their time napping together or romping in the backyard.

We are very happy with our new gentle giant.  She loves to be petted, cuddled, and even on occasion has figured out how to be a lap dog.

Everything about our adoption of Aspen has been very positive.  Thank you to the shelter staff for allowing us to have such an awesome experience.

To the staff at the ECCHA:

It has been a few months since my human mommy sent you some pictures of me, so I asked here to send this one.  No, they didn't make me sit for this.  For some reason I like lying in the skirt.  As you can see, I am doing just fine.

Hi, here is another picture of Bessie.  She just recently had a tumor removed from her ear, but is doing great now.

Here are a couple of pictures of Zippy.  It is like he has always lived here.  He needs so much affection and has so much to give that there has to be a good reason why he was given up.

I am so thankful to you for giving me this beautiful animal to love and care for.

Thanks, Theola
