"Happy Homes"

I just wanted to give everyone and update on Bubba the 10 year old
Cocker we adopted last month. It is really amazing how quickly Bubba
settled into our home and bonded with us. Although Betty, our 16
year

old cat, is pretty crabby towards him but that doesn't stop Bubba
from
trying to play with her. Thank goodness Betty doesn't have any front
claws! Bubba loves to go for his walks and has even started to tag
along on my morning runs along the river. We are very active
throughout the week, and take him with us whenever possible. He is a
really good boy, and very sweet. The pictures I have attached are from
our lake place, where he has the run of the land, and loves to swim and
explore. In the evenings, he loves to sit on our lap around the
campfire, and by the end of the day...well you get the picture.

Thanks for taking care of him for us. We just love him!

Kate, Liz and yes, even Betty.

Bowser's happy home - sorry it took so long! We have been busy! I was adopted on Feb. 4th and have been having a great time. My mom is a Hall Director on the UWEC campus and that means I have 250 other friends to live with and over 10,000 people around daily during the school year to pet me! It has been great! Not only do I love the numerous walks I get, but my mom and I get to go to Green Bay sometimes to visit her parents and I have made some good doggy friends there. I just love my new home and I wish all the other pets a happy adoption soon! Bye! ~Bowser

Hi, my name is Simon, I am the pure brown Shreifeshire Terrior, I was adopted by my Dad and Mom about 3 1/2 years ago. I was only 3 months old at the time.

Ruled the house for about a year when this cute little girl came along. She is the white and brindle, Old English Bulldog. Her name is Babie Girl, she was only about 3 mos old when she came to live with us. As you can tell, we love each other and our parents. Life is great, thanks to the ECCHA for letting my Dad in to see me and fall in love with me, (Mom wasn't too happy I don't think though). THANKS AGAIN ECCHA and good luck to all the other animals that live in the shelter

Hello to all our friends! Well, as you can see, Paco is enjoying his new life with us here in Oshkosh!!! He is so much fun and has the run of the house! He is a very good boy and enjoys his naps,,and lots of belly rubs!! He has been going to the dog park with his "brother" Sammy. They enjoy running and playing! They love to run through the house and chase each other. Once again,,,thank you for letting us adopt Paco,,,he is a wonderful little boy!!!

Thank you for taking good care of me while I was in the shelter. I am happy to have a new home. My new home is pretty busy. There is my new friend the mulacan cockatoo, Makapu. He makes allot of nosie sometimes, but it is okay. I have another new friend Cleo the cat, she is bossy to me sometimes, and I was a little scared of her, but we get along fine now.

Daycare children come in the door, Mon-Fri. My new owners took me to be groomed, so I look really handsome now. They say I should lose a little weight, so they feed me Natural choice lite food, they were surprised I like carrots, broccoli and some other fruits and veggies.

they have taken me for a walk every day so far. I like to visit the neighbors, especially the one that gives me treats. After a few days here I got to go on a camping vacation.I also went for a ride in the boat. I really enjoyed the vacation and was quite laid back about it. I met my human sister and brother also. I am learrning the boundaries of my new place. I am especially attached to my new mom, they think that is because I was raised mainly by my first mom. Sometimes I like to sleep on the bed, they let me for a few minutes.

What a dish! I adoped Evelyn in December 2004. She's been nothing but a delight in my home. She loves batting her toys around the kitchen floor, and now that it's nice out, sitting on her perch in the porch. She recently grew accustomed to a harness and now we take little jaunts outside so she
can smell everything and munch on grass. Thank you to the Eau Claire Humane Association for a great furry friend.

I wanted to let everyone know how well Tootsie is doing. When she came into the shelter I immediately fell in love with her spunkiness. She now is a spoiled girl who has taken over my couch, but is happy to share it with me. She is so loveable, loyal and very well behaved. She has been great with other animals and children; she is the definition of the perfect dog. I hope all who read this will realize how wonderful shelter dogs can be. I should know because I work with them everyday at the shelter for my internship, and fall in love with every single one of them. There are many more dogs that are wonderful just like Tootsie right now at the shelter and I hope this will inspire more people to come down and adopt an animal! Thanks again to all the staff for all they do!
