"Happy Homes"

Dear Eau Claire Animal Shelter,

We have named our rabbit Thumper and she is doing great! We love to see her hop and race around her cage. She is full of energy. It is fun to see her relaxing, which is when she stretches her front paws and back paws straight out! She is on the same schedule as we are, and rests quietly when we have our rest time.

Thumper is growing very quickly (I think because she is spoiled with carrots and celery). She loves her treats and we enjoy feeding her.

Our rabbit has taught us how to care for animals. We remember to feed Thumper and be gentle with her.
In honor of Thumper and in memory of the pets that died in the Chippewa Falls Fire, we have made a matching donation to the new animal shelter.

Hi everyone at Eau Claire Humane Association! Just writing to let you know our Basset Hound, Rosco (formerly known as "Bogey") is doing great. We adopted him in February, 2005. He is like our little shadow and is the absolute most well behaved dog we have ever had! Thanks so much for taking care of him prior to us adopting him. --

We adopting Pennie and Diamond back in August and they are just a blessing. They pretty much run our house! Diamond (black and white) is now named Princess as she acts like princess, she's very stuck up but will give affection when she sees fit. Pennie is now named Tiger and boy does she act like a Tiger. She is so active and playful. We all love
them both so much and are so happy to have been able to adopt them. Here is a recent picture of them. As you can see, they both have grown a lot. Princess is becoming very "big boned" but we love her so much.
Thank you so much and good luck with all the animals there. We wish we could adopt them all.

I just thought that I would let you know how Joe (formerly Freak) and Nigel (formerly Fork) are doing. They adapted really well, and act as if they've always lived here. I had adopted them on January 27, 2005, after I had a fire that had killed my two other cats. They get along well with each other, and with the third cat in the household (not
pictured). I'm so grateful to have them, and they seem pretty happy here, too. Jen P.

Thanks to you and your staff for helping beautiful creatures who cannot help themselves. Our calendar celebrates 17 cats, 16 of them were strays. Several relocated to Wisconsin with their owners. Rex, called Oscar at the shelter when we adopted him, is December. Mr. January takes pleasure in brightening the loves of 2 senior citizens - my 82 year old mother and Shadow a 13 year old cat.

The cats on the card are Mush, Ali, and Aggie.

Sara and friends,

Just wanted to send a little picture of the newest member of our family. It has been three weeks since Rocky has been with us and we are all learning about each other. He loves the Christmas tree, the bulbs, and tinsel.

Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to bring Rocky home.

Hello! My name is Cody-Dillon West. In the photo, I am the handsome dog with the red hair. Fifteen years ago I was adopted from the Eau Claire County Humane Association by the West Family. They have two sons, Jordan and Logan, who are now twenty-two and eighteen years old, so we grew up together. The day they came in I was scheduled to be on television as "The Pet of the Week". Of course, instead I went home with them and became an important part of their family.
The other pretty dog in the picture is Sadie Mae West. She was adopted eight years ago from the Chippewa County Humane Association. She keeps me young as we are always together enjoying each others company. We walk in Irvine Park, run and explore in the backyard, and go for car rides. Our favorite part of Christmas is riding to the tree farm and cutting the tree with our family. As you can see in the picture, I also enjoy my share of dog treats. My family loves us very much and takes very good care of us.

Thank you for all that you do for the many lost and abandoned animals. I am just one of the many success stories. Keep up you good work!

Cody-Dillion
