"Happy Homes"

Just writing to tell you how much we love our dog Jack (formerly
Raschal), adopted June 3, 2004. He came into a family of three humans, one
dog, and two cats--quite a bit to assimilate. It took a couple of weeks
for him to be accepted, but he worked so hard at it! He is currently
our face-cleaner for the other dog and one cat (the other cat won't put
up with it.)

Jack is so energetic and funny! Yesterday I saw him accidentally roll
on his back in the snow, do a 360 turn, and leap up--the dog toy still
in his mouth. He can get our eight-year-old dog Taz chasing around
like a puppy by stealing "her" chicken squeaky toy. He is great with
guest dogs (see picture of him and his cousin Jake, a golden retriever),
and loves to get treats.

I have often thought about why it was that Jack was turned in to you;
how could someone have given him away?

But that is our good luck. He
brightens each day for me. He is a wonderful clown who also has a quiet, lapdog side--just what I need at the end of a hectic day.

Thanks for Jack, and thanks for all that you do to find the perfect
human for each pet, and vice versa!

This is Cannon at 3 months. He is a shepherd mix that I adopted in October 2004 from the Eau Claire shelter.

Dear Melissa and everybody at the Eau Claire County Humane Assoc.

I am writing you with an update on Fiona the beagle mix we adopted on October 23, 2004. We brought her home to Shakopee, Minnesota to our children Eric (10), Megan (10), and Becca (7). Everyone fell in love instantaneously.

We named her Amber to remind us of the beautiful fall colors in Wisconsin that we drove through. Within a week, she was responding to her new name. She takes turns sleeping with a different family member each night of the week. She loves to play tug of war and gives endless kisses.

She loves her new back yard and has enjoyed meeting the neighborhood dogs out on walks. Our whole family enjoys her company and we were glad to find such a wonderful new family dog.

Thank you for caring for her prior to her coming home with us. She was definitely worth the drive to find her.
Linda, Tom, Eric, Megan, and Becca

I love my new home and they love me. Thank you.

Marticia

"Proud Mary" has been renamed Shanghai (Little Girl). This is her with her new sister Shen. They spend all day playing together and get along great. She has been a wonderful addition to our family.
Thanks so much.

This is Harvey at 8 months old. I will be looking for him on Happy Homes.

This is Caesar, a former dog of the week. He is doing great. He has lost 5 pounds due in part to his daily walks. Everyone says he is such a cute dog. Personally, I'd have to agree.
