"Happy Homes"

Hi, I just wanted
to let you know that Gringo adjusted well to our home.
He slept the whole way home in the car (one hour drive) and
made himself right at home. He loves to stretch out on the
kitchen floor, sleep under the bed during the day, and sleep
at the end of my husbands feet at night. We are very happy
we adopted him!! He is happy to have a new home.

Here is Ernie,
the Brittany we adopted about 4 months ago. He is doing wonderfully.
He has learned many tricks - our favorites are the "high
five" and "rollover". We are very happy to
have him in our family.
Thank you!

We just wanted
to let you know Sadie is doing great. We really like her.
She still hasn't lost much weight, if any.

We
adopted Suzie Q (alias Tessa) in April 2003. She is the cutest,
funniest, sweetest little one year old cat. She loves to play
and is very social and agreeable. We love our Suzie Q and
are happy to have her be part of our family.

I know
it has been almost two months since we adopted Buster (Brocky),
however he is extremely camera shy and does everything he
can to avoid being captured on film. Other than that, he has
adjusted very well to his new home. Buster is feeling so much
better now that all his infections have cleared up and his
hair is starting to grow out. His favorite place to hang out
when I'm not home is on top of the kitchen table, but we are
working on correcting that habit. Buster and Garth enjoy chasing
around in the backyard, taking walks together, and napping
on the couch. He has certainly added a little more excitement
to our house, and I think he will keep Garth active in his
old age. I'm glad we decided to adopt a companion for Garth.

To Everyone At ECCHA:
We want to “thank” everyone at ECCHA for giving
Tasha a second chance at life. We adopted Tasha on April 29th
and we have to let you know that this is truly a “success
story”. I’m enclosing a picture of Tasha as she
looks now. After 3 weeks she has gone from a scruffy old dog,
to a beautiful blue eyed husky, with a gleam in her eye that
is typical of a happy husky! It is hard to believe that she
is 11 years old. She has adjusted well to her new surroundings.
She loves her big yard, the companionship of our 13 yr. old
husky, her long walks, loves to ride in the car and most of
all the love and TLC she is receiving from everyone. She is
now typical of a spoiled rotten husky, and she is loving every
minute of it. |

She is so content where ever she is, we know she is happy.
She is a great dog and we are so lucky to have found her.
Thank you ECCHA!

Hello Everyone at ECCHA,
Sorry I didn't write sooner,
but I am having so much fun at my new home. It's already May
'03 and I've been here since
mid-December.
Since I am blind and I can't hear hardly at all, I am glad
there is a lot of activity always going on around me. There
is this really wild puppy that wants me to wrestle and play
tug-o-war. And we do, but Im an old lady (10 years) and I
get tired faster than her. Kids! Where do they get their energy!?!
If I could only bottle it, I'd be rich!
There are a few cats around that like me to lick their ears.
My new seeing-eye people give me baths and take me for walks.
I get lots of rawhides and peanut butter flavored biscuits
(my favorite) to chew on. I get around the house really good.
I bump into things and everybody feels sorry for me, but I
don't mind.
Thank you for giving me a second
chance. Love, Shelby |

I
have enclosed a photo of both cats that we adopted from your
shelter last year. Percy (orange tabby) was adopted in August
2002 and Queenie ( gray) was adopted in November 2002. They
are truly the sweetest cats and a joy to have in our family.
Our 9 year old son, Stephen, loves them. The three of them
roll and chase each other all over the house. The cats are
constant companions for each other. They sleep together and
share the same food bowl. |

We
couldn't have found two cats that are more compatable. We
are so lucky to have them; they have made our home come alive.
