Mittens was brought to the shelter on December 4, 2007, because
her owner was moving. Mittens is 10 months old, recently spayed
and a black kitty with white paws. She has a cute and expressive
meow. She is pretty mellow about her visit at the shelter and
hopes that her visit with be a short one. In the meantime, she's
kicking back and making herself comfortable. She is a very loving
girl! She would prefer a home where she is the only cat because
she tends to be a bit dominant and wants all your attention to
herself. She's not especially fond of sharing your attention with
small children or dogs either. She wants to be your one and only!
***UPDATE: Mittens is now about 1 year and 4 months old, and is
a longer resident cat. She is in the "community room"
at the shelter and seems to get along with MANY cats. However,
she tends to want to be the dominant "queen" of cats
in a home with only one or two. Therefore, a home without other
cats would be PURRFECT for her. She really is a very affectionate
girl and would be a wonderful addition to a home that will adore
HER for the cat she really is.
